Arthur Miller’s cutting play All My Sons is revived at The Old Vic with a cast led by the multi-award-winning duo Sally Field and Bill Pullman.
In a co-production with Headlong, the company’s Artistic Director Jeremy Herrin heads up the story of a 1947 American family who pay the price of the American Dream, also starring Jenna Coleman and Colin Morgan.
Through hard choices and even harder knocks, Joe and Kate Keller have earned it all: a beautiful home, two grown-up sons, and a thriving livelihood. Theirs is a true success story.
But nothing lasts forever, and having already lost their eldest boy to war, their comfortable lives are about to be ripped apart with the return of a figure from the past. Arthur Miller’s stunning play sees long-buried truths forced to the surface.
All My Sons stars Field – the two-time Academy and three-time Emmy Award winner – and Pullman – a Tony Award-winner, alongside BAFTA Nominee Coleman (who played the title role in ITV drama Victoria) and Morgan (the title role of the BBC show Merlin). The show is recommended for ages 11+.
All My Sons first opened on Broadway in 1947, winning the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award and two Tony Awards. It was later adapted for films in 1948 and 1987, and was last seen in London in 2010 at the Apollo Theatre.
Now, with, a star-studded cast and creative team, All My Sons is set to prove an unmissable theatrical event at The Old Vic.
