Les ballets C de la B returns to Sadler’s Wells with Alain Platel’s new work tauberbach.

Initiated by actress Elsie de Brauw, who asked Platel to create something using both dancers and actors, the starting point for the work is Marco Prado’s documentary Estamira, which tells the story of a woman suffering from schizophrenia who lives and works in a Brazilian waste disposal site.

The production explores how an individual strives to live with dignity under nearly impossible circumstances.
