Pamela Anderson, Paul O’Grady and Brian Blessed lead the cast of classic pantomime Aladdin.
Aladdin tells the story of a young urchin of a boy who is convinced to recover a very special lamp by the decidedly evil Abanazar. Yet everything does not go as planned, and soon our hero needs a little magical help from a enchanting genie.
Blessed plays the role of Abanazar in Aladdin. The actor, author and adventurer is an old hand at playing panto baddies and revels in drawing boos and hisses from the festive family audience.
The role of the Genie Of The Lamp in Aladdin will be played by a succession of guest stars including comedienne Ruby Wax (4-12 Dec), former Baywatch star Anderson (13-27 December), actress Anita Dobson (28 December to 3 January) and chat show host O’Grady (5-10 January).
Aladdin is the latest in a list of star-studded New Wimbledon theatre pantomimes, which includes Cinderella starring Gareth Gates, Peter Pan starring Henry Winkler and Snow White starring Ross Kemp and Bobby Davro.
