A live orchestra and a remarkable cast of world-class ballet dancers accompanies Ivan Putrov in Against The Stream, a new production which celebrates the choreographers who changed the face of dance forever.
Former principal of The Royal Ballet Putrov is staging this ingenious new work, with elements of dance from the likes of Robbins and Balanchine in New York, Lifar and Nureyev in Paris, Vaganova and Vainonen in St Petersburg, and Ashton and MacMillan in London.
The internationally acclaimed producer and dancer is accompanied by dancers including Matthew Ball from The Royal Ballet, Mathieu Ganio and Eleonora Abbagnato of the Paris Opera Ballet, Dmitry Zagrebin of the Royal Swedish Ballet, Katja Khaniukova of the English National Ballet, Maria Kowroski of New York City Ballet and Marcelo Gomes, formerly of American Ballet Theatre.
Over the course of one unmissable night, they will perform works by the giants whose belief, vision and persistence created the rich and varied world of dance we have today.
