A Funny Valentine is the latest production from acclaimed theatrical storyteller Mike Maran, which celebrates the life and music of Chet Baker.

In 1956 Baker was voted best trumpet player in the world. In 1961, the sound of his golden trumpet could be heard wafting through the bars of an Italian prison. In 1989 he spent his final night on earth in a hotel room with a storyteller – the only person who knows the whole truth behind Baker’s journey. Now that story is ready to be told.
