Weeks come and go, and sadly, so do West End shows. This week, we’ve had news about shows closing. But, we’ve also heard about new shows, cast announcements and guest appearances. Didn’t manage to stay on top of it this week? Strictly Ballroom announces closing date

This week, the sad, sad news that Strictly Ballroom The Musical will be closing was announced. The sparkling musical will be closing its doors in late October.

Casting announced for Wise Children

Later this year, Emma Rice will be launching her brand new theatre company, Wise Children, with a playful adaptation of the novel of the same name. This week, the cast of this highly-anticipated production has been announced.

 

Hamilton receives a royal visit

Prince Harry, Megan Markle and Lin Manuel Miranda stopped by the Victoria Palace Theatre for a spectacular fundraising performance of Hamilton. Funds raised at the Gala performance went to Sentebale, the charity founded by Prince Harry with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.

 

Full casting for Don Quixote announced

David Threlfall and Rufus Hound are reprising their roles as Don Quixote and Sancho Panza respectively in the upcoming transfer of the RSC’s Don Quixote. And with them, they’re bringing a whole host of incredible actors. See who’s joining them, below.
