World famous puppets Sooty, Sweep, Soo and their human friend Richard are set to blast into space as they return to the West End this Christmas with a new festive adventure, Sooty In Space.
Playing at the Duchess theatre from 21 December to 5 January, this brand new show is packed full of surprises, comedy and magic, and follows last year’s West End success with The Sooty Christmas Show.
Described as “an intergalactic giggle for the whole family”, Sooty In Space features flying cups and saucers, dancing martians and the Super Space Station complete with Sooty’s Amazing Robot, the not so spacey named Harry.
The time-defying puppet trio were first seen in the West End during the 1970s and 1980s, and have since continued to be a family favourite. Currently appearing twice a day on CITV with host Richard Cadell, the children’s entertainer described himself as “absolutely thrilled to be coming back to London’s West End this Christmas,” adding, “The Sooty theatre show was an institution during the 70s/80s and we are hoping that the children of those eras will bring their children along to enjoy the next instalment of Sooty in the West End.”
As an added bonus, all audience members will be presented with a free pair of space goggles for The Flight To Mars, a magical 3D section of the show.
