Olivier-winning theatrical experience Slava’s Snowshow is to enjoy a return visit to London this Christmas, playing at the Royal Festival Hall from 17 December to 8 January.
Created by Russian clown Slava Polunin, Slava’s Snowshow is a magical, comical and touching family show which takes place within a snowy, dream-like world. After premiering in 1994 it played at London’s Old Vic four years later, winning the 1998 Best Entertainment Olivier Award.
A former engineering student, Polunin won acclaim in pantomime in his native Russia before creating his own clowning act in the 1980s. He achieved international recognition with Slava’s Snowshow, which he has toured all over the world.
The production will return to London as part of a UK tour which begins in Nottingham in September. Booking is now open for its run at the Royal Festival Hall.
