phLast night, America celebrated the best of Broadway at the 76th Tony Awards and there were some familiar faces that won the gold. Leopoldstadt won both Best Play and Best Direction of a Play and Best Costume Design, making it the 5th year in a row that the Tony Award for Best Play and Best Direction of a Play have been won by British productions and British directors!

British plays such as The Life Of Pi swept the play design categories this year, winning Best Scenic Design, Best Lighting Design, and Best Sound Design. As was the case at this year’s Olivier Awards Jodie Comer won Best Actress in a Play for her performance in Prima Facie.
