Nederlander Organisation – which operates Aldwych Theatre, Dominion Theatre and the Adelphi Theatre – today announced that all West End performances of The Prince Of Egypt will be cancelled up until and including 31 October.
In their latest statement, Nederlander Theatres said: “We have now cancelled all performances of The Prince of Egypt at The Dominion Theatre, up until and including Saturday 31 October. All performances of TINA – The Tina Turner Musical at the Aldwych Theatre are cancelled, up until and including Saturday 29 August.
“This does not mean theatres will reopen following these dates; if further postponements and cancellations are necessary, they will continue to be announced on a rolling basis. Different theatres and productions are likely to reopen at different times.”
The group added that: “This summer’s production of Hello, Dolly! at the Adelphi Theatre has also been postponed – please see more information at nederlander.co.uk/whats-on/hello-dolly.”
With 300,000 people visiting the West End in a normal week, the group “are grateful to customers for the continued patience and kindness they are showing during this challenging time for our industry.”
The latest update follows their announcement on 22 June, which confirmed that West End production have extended its run until 2 November 2021 with tickets now on sale.
This timeless story of identity, dignity, and hope feels more meaningful and relevant than ever before and the producers look forward to sharing this epic production with you as soon as they are able.
