Peppa Pig, the popular porcine pre-school animated character, will make her West End debut when a stage adaptation comes to the Criterion theatre in November.
Peppa Pig’s Party, which is currently touring the UK, will stop off in central London from 30 November to 18 December for a season of daytime performances.
Peppa, a playful little pig with a penchant for jumping in muddy puddles, lives with her brother George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. In Richard Lewis’s stage adaptation Peppa is preparing for a very special day – her birthday – surrounded by her friends Suzy Sheep, Danny Dog and Emily Elephant.
Peppa Pig made her television debut on Five in 2004, won a BAFTA the following year and has since been shown around the world. The character made headlines during the recent general election campaign when she declined to help launch Labour’s families manifesto.

Peppa Pig’s Party will play daytime performances concurrently with the Criterion theatre’s current occupant, The 39 Steps, which will continue as scheduled.
