Peter Pan, which was staged in a purpose-built pavilion in Kensington Gardens during the summer, will take its tented production to Greenwich’s 02 for a limited Christmas season.
The tale of the boy who wouldn’t grow up, which played to more than 150,000 people in the course of its recent 16-week season, will run in the venue’s Meridian Gardens from 1 December until 10 January.
JM Barrie’s famous family tale, in this production adapted by Tanya Ronder, follows magical child swashbuckler Peter Pan who takes the Darling children on an adventure to Neverland where they meet The Lost Boys, Tinkerbell, Indians, pirates and a hungry crocodile.
This production is housed in its own 1,300 seat rain-proof tent which also includes bar and restaurant facilities. It is directed by site-specific theatre specialist Ben Harrison, formerly an Associate Director of the Almeida theatre and features designs, including 360 degree CGI animation, by seven-time Laurence Olivier Award winner William Dudley.
