That’s what we felt about seeing Cruise at the Duchess Theatre last night. Suzie and Natalie from our Official London Theatre team, got to see the very first performance of the play, based on a true story Jack Holden was told whilst volunteering for Switchboard, the LGBTQ+ Listening Service. This new play pays tribute to a generation decimated by HIV and AIDs.
And it’s Jack himself, writer and performer in the show who brings to life 1980’s Soho in this kaleidoscopic musical, which is a celebration of queer culture with an uplifting 80s electronic soundtrack performed live by John Elliott. Having seen Jess interview Jack and John on our Theatre Chat Live series just a couple of weeks ago, Suzie and Natalie knew the show was going to have an amazing soundtrack.
