The farcical and hilarious comedy Noises Off is coming to the West End, following a successful run at the Lyric Hammersmith.
Moving into its new home at the Garrick Theatre between 27 September – 4 January 2020, the show had already been extended at its current home due to its phenomenal success, and has enjoyed four West End runs in the past.
Many of the cast are returning to reprise their roles, including BAFTA nominee Meera Syal (The Kumars at No. 42) as Dotty Otley, Lloyd Owen (Cleaning Up) as the long-suffering director Lloyd Dallas, BAFTA-winning Daniel Rigby (BBC Two’s Eric & Ernie) as Garry Lejeune and Simon Rouse (The Bill) as Selsdon Mowbray. Further casting for the West End transfer will be announced soon.
Directed by Jeremy Herrin (All My Sons), Noises Off is a slapstick comedy about a group of actors and backstage crew trying to put on a show. But as drama and hilarity ensues on and off the stage, can their production of Nothing On still go ahead?
Written by Michael Frayn, the show is based on his experiences of being behind the scenes of a show, and witnessing the goings-on that were funnier than the show on the stage.
You can still catch Noises Off at the Lyric Hammersmith until 3 August. It’ll then transfer to the Garrick Theatre from 27 September. Tickets available for both now.
