The world’s longest-running musical, Les Misérables, has announced new casting to take effect at the Queen’s Theatre, London, this Summer.
From Monday 11 June 2018, Dean Chisnall (Blood Brothers, UK tour; Shrek, West End) will play the central role of fugitive Jean Valjean. He will be joined by Amara Okereke (The Hired Man, Other Palace) as Cosette, Toby Miles (making his professional West End debut) as Marius, Elena Skye (Kinky Boots, West End) as Eponine, and Vivien Parry (Half A Sixpence) as Madame Thénardier.
Valjean’s nemesis, Javert, will continue to be played by David Thaxton until Saturday 21 July; from the following Monday (23 July), current Wicked cast member Bradley Jaden will swap one West End starring role for another, portraying Javert.
Continuing in their roles beyond the cast change are Steven Meo as Thénardier, and Carley Stenson as Fantine.
The remainder of the Les Misérables company will comprise Tegan Bannister, Emma Barr, Adam Bayjou, Ciarán Bowling, Oliver Brenin, Grace Farrell, Sophie-May Feek, Adam Filipe, Antony Hanson, Sam Harrison, Barnaby Hughes, James Hume, Ciaran Joyce, Katie Kerr, Rebecca Lafferty, Sarah Lark, Hannah Grace Lawson, Jessica Lee, Jo Loxton, Anna McGarahan, James Nicholson, Ben Tyler, Joe Vetch, Raymond Walsh and Andrew York. Further casting is to be announced.
