If you have a budding actor in the family, EduStage is on hand this summer as its annual children’s drama workshops return for an eighth year to inspire young people with a love of musical theatre and performing.
Two week-long workshops aiming to teach children the skills involved in musical theatre performance are on offer this summer, with children aged eight to 11-years-old invited to take part at the Epsom Playhouse from 29 July to 2 August, while older children aged 12 to 17-years-old can get involved at the Secombe theatre in Sutton from 5 to 9 August.
Participants will be given the opportunity to work with professional directors, learn songs from West End musicals and practice their drama skills before giving a full-staged costumed performance of an original musical at the end of the week.
