Following popular demand and acclaim from the critics, Arinzé Kene’s solo masterpiece Misty is extending its West End run at Trafalgar Studios.
And to celebrate the announcement, actors Daniel Kaluuya (Oscar nominated in 2018) and Anthony Welsh (The Brothers Size at the Young Vic) joined Arinzé on stage last night (Thursday 27 September), marking a remarkably well-deserved extension.
Misty will now run at the venue until 17 November 2018.
Speaking after the performance, Kaluuya said “I love Misty. When Arinzé asked Anthony and I to host a night around it, we wanted to celebrate it and get as many people talking about it as possible.”
Misty is Arinzé’s epic, heartfelt and playful exploration of creative freedom, set against a pulsating vision of modern London. The show features an original musical score performed live during the show.
Official London Theatre described the show as “a well-structured and honest production [which] is undeniably thought-provoking” and “a fascinating insight into this young man’s consciousness.”
