The Aliens star Michael Socha will appear on the London stage this spring, starring opposite Tamla Kari in 2014 Edinburgh hit This Is Living. The two-hander runs at Trafalgar Studios 2 from 17 May to 11 June.
The debut play by Liam Borrett finds couple Michael and Alice arguing in a Yorkshire meadow in the dead of night. Alice is cold and tired, and Michael won’t stop telling her that 12 hours ago she died.
This Is Living marks the stage return of Socha, who last trod the boards eight years ago in Nottingham Playhouse’s production of Glamour. He can currently be seen in hit E4 drama The Aliens but may be best known for playing Harvey in Shane Meadows’ hit film This Is England and its spin off TV series.
Like Socha, Kari is best known for her screen work, starring in swashbuckling BBC hit The Musketeers and both Inbetweeners movies. She previously appeared in London at the Donmar Warehouse in Versailles.
This Is Living runs at the Trafalgar Studios 2 following the current run of Hampstead theatre hit Firebird, and two further Edinburgh hits, Raz and Boris: World King.
