Yas, queens! The brand new British musical, SIX, will be going on a UK tour with a stop off at Edinburgh Fringe before hitting the West End later this year.
In Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’s show, her-story will be told from the perspective of Henry VIII’s six wives as the Tudor queens and pop princesses take to the mic to tell their tales. Powered by an all-female band, the pop musical will feature songs like Ex-Wives, Haus of Holbein and Don’t Lose Ur Head.
Following last year’s sold-out run at Edinburgh Fringe, SIX will go on a UK tour. SIX will play at Norwich Playhouse and Cambridge Arts Theatre before returning to Edinburgh where it’ll call the Underbelly purple cow in George Square home during the run.
On 30 August, SIX will start a strictly limited run at the Arts Theatre where Toby and Lucy’s take on events will show there’s much more to these women than history will lead you to believe.
Writing duo Toby and Lucy met at university and SIX is their first joint production. The pair also forms two-thirds of the award-winning theatre company Hot Gay Time Machine, whose show, Hot Gay Time Machine, enjoyed considerable success at the fringe last year, and had a sold out run at The Other Palace in London.
Tickets for the London and Edinburgh performances of SIX go on sale on Thursday 19 April at 10am. SIX will run from 30 August – 23 September 2018.
