Dry those tears and take You Don’t Know You’re Beautiful off repeat; One Direction may be on an extended hiatus but the magic of the most popular boyband in history is coming to London’s West End this autumn with a special concert.
Performed by Only One Direction, the tribute band Harry Styles described as having “angelic harmonies”, Only One Direction – The One Direction Story will play at the Lyric Theatre from 26 to 28 October and feature songs from all four of the world famous group’s smash hit albums.
Described as “a perfect family-friendly show and pop concert all in one”, the half-term homage promises to capture all the charisma and energy of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and – by the looks of the show artwork – former One Directioner Zayn Malik, in an interactive concert extravaganza.
Only One Direction were the first ever One Direction tribute band and, following the colossal success of the X Factor-formed group of heartthrob singers, have spent the past three years performing on stage, television and radio all over the world.
The band are so successful in fact, there are now three alternating casts who between them cater to the huge demand the world over for One Direction fixes thanks to the talented lookalike crews that are ready to serenade tweens and adult fans alike.
Only One Direction – The One Direction Story will play alongside the Lyric Theatre’s long-running theatrical concert Thriller Live, which similarly pays tribute to another pop legend, the late Michael Jackson.
