Leading London theatre stars Lucie Jones, Jerome Pradon and Helen Hobson will star in Scott Evan Davis’ song cycle Picture Perfect: A New Musical when it receives its London premiere at the St James Studio next month.
The tale of four characters reaching crossroads in their lives, Picture Perfect also stars recent graduate Joel Harper-Jackson. It runs for four performances across 31 May and 1 June.
Harper-Jackson, who previously appeared in the 20th anniversary tour of Rent, plays Josh, a college graduate preparing to face his future. Hobson, whose West End credits include Mamma Mia! and Blood Brothers, plays his mother, who is wondering if the time is right to leave her husband. Pradon (Lord Of The Rings, Les Misérables) plays the father who has inadvertently begun an affair. Former X Factor contestant Jones, who has played Cosette in Les Mis and recently appeared in the musical adaptation of American Psycho, completes the cast as law student Ellie, who is questioning her life’s decisions.
Picture Perfect: A New Musical is the latest in a series of productions by United Theatrical, shining a light on American musical composers at the St James Studio, following shows focussing on Andrew Lippa and Kerrigan and Lowdermilk.
