We got a look at the production photos of The Man In The White Suit, which has it’s world premiere tomorrow at Wyndham’s Theatre, and they look great!
Stephen Mangan stars in the titular role in a story about an inventor who creates a suit that never gets dirty and never wears out – a discovery that sends shockwaves through the business world. Soon, bosses and workers in the garment industry alight chase the man in the white suit who is destroying their livelihoods.
Sean Foley’s new adaptation also stars Kara Tointon (Twelfth Night, Absent Friends) and Sue Johnston (Coronation Street, The Royle Family).
The cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie changes on Monday, with Phil Nichol reprising the role of Hugo/ Loco Chanelle and Melissa Jaques joining the cast as Margaret New, the role she has been understudying for over a year. The Barbican announced this morning the cast for a new production of Gabriel, which will be a one-night event on 21 October.
A celebration of Baroque music and 17th-century London will star Jamie Parker (Harry Potter, History Boys), Jack Farthing (Poldark), Anjana Vasan (Doll’s House) and Amanda Wilkin (Midsummer Night’s Dream). Alongside the troupe of actors, the production will feature trumpeter Alison Balsom, soprano Elizabeth Watts, countertenor Tim Morgan, tenor Gwilym Bowen, The English Concert with music director Harry Bicket and a chorus of singers from Guildhall School.
