All good things must come to an end. But if you’re quick, you can still catch these shows before they’re gone for good. Our list of shows closing soon features something for everyone including comedy, magic, book-turned-stage adaptions and family favourites. There are also many Kids Week shows meaning you can enjoy half-price family tickets before the month ends. Go ahead and treat yourself before it’s too late! 

Margaret Thatcher Queen Of Soho

Closing: 21 August

If you’re looking for something different, something that’ll make your face ache with laughter, look no further! Maggie Thatcher has wowed audiences at Edinburgh Fringe festival and now she’s coming to Soho in this smash-hit drag bonanza!

On the eve of the vote on Section 28, Maggie gets lost in Soho and accidentally becomes a cabaret superstar. Will she change her mind about the homophobic bill before it’s too late…?

Created by double Olivier Award-winner Jon Brittain (Rotterdam) and Matt Tetford, this big gay odyssey is about LGBT rights, the 80s and disco! There will be music, glitter and endless moments of hilarity; so if you fancy a night of laughter, book your tickets now.

 

Billionaire Boy

If you’re looking to enjoy a last-minute family show, David Walliams’ story about the richest boy in the country will not disappoint.

Follow the story of a twelve year old boy who owns a sports car, two crocodiles and gets £100,000 a week for his pocket money – not an ordinary kid you say? Joe appears to have everything from the outside, but the one thing he doesn’t have is a friend. Find out what happens on his journey as he tries to find what money can’t buy.

If you’re a fan of the Olivier Award-nominated Gangsta Granny, and the riotous Horrible Histories stage shows, this hilarious, touching and extraordinary tale will not disappoint.

 

Sinatra Raw

If you’d like to find out more about the highs and lows of musical legend, Frank Sinatra or fancy a night of singing along to some all-time hits, Sinatra Raw ticks all the boxes.

Written and performed by Richard Shelton, one of the world’s most acclaimed Sinatra interpreters, Sinatra Raw is a powerful show that saw sold-out seasons in Los Angeles, Edinburgh and Australia.

It takes audiences through the life and times of Frank Sinatra with punch lines, amusing stories, reflective tales as well as a look into his private life. And of course, you can expect there to be plenty of singing as Richard Shelton performs Sinatra’s back catalogue with such authenticity.

 

Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain Part 5

Closing: 28 August

Horrible Histories is one of Britain’s favourite history shows and this summer, it’s back with a new production packed with crazy new characters and rude new rulers from Britain’s barmy past. 

It’s history with all the nasty, gruesome bits left in and because of that…kids will love it!

What The Ladybird Heard

If your children are fans of Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks’ bestselling picture book, now is the perfect opportunity for them to see it come to life on stage!

Watch the clever Ladybird lead an array of animals on a quest to save the day as Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len plot to steal the farmer’s prize cow.
