Hit US musical [title of show], which has been rumoured to have been making its West End debut for the past few years, will make the leap to London at the Landor theatre.
The meta-musical, about two struggling writers trying to write a piece for the New York Musical Theatre Festival, will play at the Clapham venue from 7 August.
The piece, which sees its characters/creators decide that their creative plight is far more interesting a subject for their musical, was first a hit at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2004, before running Off-Broadway at the Vineyard theatre in 2006 and opening on Broadway in 2008.
This brand new London production will be directed by the Landor theatre’s Artistic Director Robert McWhir, whose previous credits include Sleeping Arrangements, Curtains, Tomorrow Morning and Into The Woods.
Casting is yet to be announced.
