This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the achievements of the all-female creative team behind the smash-hit musical Waitress – who told us all about bringing the show to life in London.
Serving up a warm Broadway musical straight from the heart, Waitress has been opening up at the West End’s Adelphi Theatre this past month, enjoying its official opening night to massive acclaim last night.
The beloved musical, based on the 2007 film of the same name, has a score by six-time Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, along with a book by Jessie Nelson. Waitress has been eagerly awaited in London, having scored four Tony Award nominations, including for Best Musical.
Waitress is currently booking at the Adelphi Theatre until 19 October.
