With four Olivier Awards to its name, including individual performance accolades for current leading men John Dagleish and George Maguire, it’s probably fair to say that forthcoming Sunny Afternoon cast members Danny Horn, Oliver Hoare, Tom Whitelock and Damien Walsh have rather large shoes to fill.
That’s right, there are new Kinks in town – well, on their way – as the aforementioned foursome prepares to take to the stage as the iconic band from 5 October.
Judging by the images released today, which see Horn, Hoare and co getting into character as the Davies brothers and their fellow band members Pete Quaife and Mick Avory, we reckon they’ll make more than fitting replacements in the roles of the legendary quartet of rockers whose hits include You Really Got Me, Waterloo Sunset and Lola.
