Horrible Histories returns for Christmas

Before it’s even had a chance to wreak its historical havoc this summer, Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain – Part Three! has already announced it will return for more family fun at the Vaudeville Theatre this Christmas.

The third instalment in the Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain series, which is due to premiere at the Garrick Theatre next month, will bring fast-paced fun to the festive season from 11 December to 3 January.

Written by the Neal Foster, the production joins its predecessors in celebrating the barmiest, most ridiculous moments in Britain’s past. The Birmingham Stage Company’s third barmy offering includes everything from the Magna Carta and King John to partying Puritans, vile Victorians and a Duke of Wellington who could well be getting the boot.

Foster will return to star in the family show’s Christmas run following his forthcoming performances at the Garrick Theatre. He’ll no doubt be showing Barmy Britain newbie Tom Jude a thing or two about bringing the country’s colourful past to life, as he joins the writer and director in the production over the yuletide period.

Suitable for children aged six and older, Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain – Part Three! is billed as the “most ‘horrible’ show in the West End” and will add to an exciting array of productions on offer at the Vaudeville Theatre in 2015, including fellow page to stage adaptation I Believe In Unicorns.

Prior to Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain – Part Three!’s Christmas escapades, audiences can catch the show at the Garrick Theatre this August as part of Kids Week. Our annual ticket campaign, which offers a free child’s ticket for every full priced ticket purchased, went on sale yesterday, with a staggering 116,000 tickets snapped up in the first 24 hours.

Tickets for Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain – Part Three! throughout August can be booked at www.kidsweek.co.uk. For all your other barmy ticketing needs, you can book tickets for both the production’s summer and winter runs through us.
