The tale of everyone’s favourite Japanese bobtail will be brought to life on the London stage this autumn as Hello Kitty Live – Fashion And Friends receives its world premiere at Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo.
The modern London-set story, which depicts Hello Kitty as a young girl full of dreams and ambitions, will play a one-off performance at the venue on 8 October prior to a UK tour.
The tale of talent, friendship and creativity will follow Hello Kitty as she’s forced to overcome a challenge that will change her life forever with the help of her friends My Melody, Dear Daniel and Mimmy.
Featuring songs from artists including Clean Bandit, Bruno Mars, Charlie XCX and James Blunt, the production will be brought to life in 3D, giving Hello Kitty fans the chance to inhabit the world of the feline-inspired title character.
Hello Kitty Live – Fashion And Friends is brought to the stage by a creative team that includes Peppa Pig Live creative director Richard Lewis, Got To Dance choreographer Del Mak and visual artist LRNZ.
Suitable for children of all ages, the show invites audiences to “dance, sing and share a lot of fun with Kitty” as her passion for creativity, fashion and music is explored through the story of a beautiful friendship.
While young theatregoers will have to wait until October to enjoy Hello Kitty’s touching tale, families with children aged 16-years-old or under still have four days to take advantage of kids go free tickets for a huge array of shows on offer through Kids Week.
