Immersive theatre company Goat & Monkey will return to Southwark Playhouse later this year to present its unique take on much-loved pantomime Jack And The Beanstalk.
Marking the first Christmas show to be staged at the venue’s new home on Newington Causeway, Jack And The Beanstalk will weave its tale of a young boy who enters a raucous world of magic beans, milk-squirting cows, tap-dancing mice and gigantic giants through the festive season from 6 December to 11 January.
Written by Toby Hulse and directed by Joel Scott with designs by Rebecca Brower, the show is billed as suitable for everyone aged seven to 107, providing a seasonal panto packed full of surprises for all the family.
Returning to Southwark Playhouse following its 2007 hit Reverence: A Tale Of Abelard And Heloise, Goat & Monkey is a site-specific theatre company that specialises in reaching wide audiences and pushing the boundaries of audience immersion.
