The season may be over, but activities continue at Shakespeare’s Globe, which is running a series of family events during half term as part of a season entitled The Young and Shakespeare.
From Wednesday 24 to Sunday 28 October sessions (suitable for anyone over five years old) include drawing and dance workshops, costume dressings, sword fighting and embroidery demonstrations, plus backstage explorations and stories read by leading children’s authors. Visit the Globe Tiring House from Wednesday to Friday to hear storytellers Danny Scheinmann and Saul Jaffe tell magical tales of winter; while on Saturday and Sunday stories of snow, shadows, sprites and goblins will be read by storytellers from the Crick Crack Club – Sally Pomme Clayton, Ben Haggarty, Hugh Lupton and Katy Cawkwell.
All sessions are included in a visit to Shakespeare’s Globe Exhibition (adults £6.50, children £3.50, family ticket £15) and operate on a rolling programme throughout the week on a first come, first served basis.
