Leading the way for 2016’s musical Get Into London Theatre offerings are long runners Matilda The Musical, Billy Elliot The Musical, Wicked, Les Misérables, The Phantom Of The Opera, Mamma Mia!, Thriller Live, Disney’s The Lion King, Jersey Boys and Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, plus newcomers Bend It Like Beckham The Musical, In The Heights, Guys And Dolls, Close To You: Bacharach Reimagined and Shrek The Musical, as well as 2015’s Olivier Award-winning hits Sunny Afternoon and Beautiful – The Carole King Musical.
Offering more drama than an EastEnders Christmas special, you can choose from plays including The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong, The Railway Children, The Woman In Black, Goodnight Mister Tom, the National Theatre’s As You Like It and Evening At The Talk House, the Royal Court’s Escaped Alone, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time and War Horse.
There’s also a huge variety on offer for families, from The Gruffalo to The Old Vic’s The Lorax, and for those looking for something a bit different, whether that’s dance from Michael Flatley’s Lord Of The Dance: Dangerous Games or classic pantomime, a whole section dedicated to entertainment. Ballet and opera fans are also catered for with Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty, the Royal Opera’s Tosca and English National Ballet’s Nutcracker all on the line-up.
