West End stars, TV heroes and icons of entertainment took to the shop floor at the glamorous Fenwick of Bond Street to help raise money for theatrical charity Acting For Others.
Where else would you see musical theatre titan Michael Ball tending the jewellery counter, Call The Midwife’s Cliff Parisi offering advice on headwear or Michael Xavier dueting with Summer Strallen but at a charity event like no other, staged by the Olivier Awards’ fashion partner to help its partner charity.
They weren’t the only stars helping out. Both multi Olivier Award-winning actress Dame Judi Dench and Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes were on hand to give fans an intimate insight into their world with Q&A sessions. Xavier’s The Pajama Game co-star Peter Polycarpou, Outnumbered’s Claire Skinner and Samantha Spiro were also on hand to serve the lucky customers, like an even more theatrical episode of Are You Being Served?
Our photographer, Pamela Raith, was on hand to snap the goings-on.
