The West End is getting ready for the greatest day because babe, The Band is hosting a gala performance on Tuesday 4 December at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
In support of The Elton John AIDS Foundation, all the stall seats will be removed and replaced with dining tables for one night only. In addition to a special performance of Tim Firth’s musical, there will be a performance from Take That themselves and it’ll be hosted by the musical’s co-producers, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams, with David Furnish.
The night will have a red carpet start from 6pm with a gala dinner starting at 7pm. Tickets will cost £1,000 a head and the dress code is black tie. But, if £1,000 is a bit too rich for your blood, you can still attend the evening. Tickets for the Dress and Upper Circles start from £50 each.
The Band is a brand new musical that tells the story of a group of friends that bond over their obsession with a boyband. But over time, the friends drift apart until the band’s reunion brings them back together in the hopes that they’ll finally fulfil their dream of meeting the band.
The Band features the music of Take That, one of Britain’s most successful boy bands of all time, whose songs include Never Forget, Back For Good, A Million Love Songs, Greatest Day, The Flood, Flight My Fire, Shine and Rule The World.
Starring in The Band is Five To Five – a hugely popular boy band comprising singers AJ Bentley, Nick Carsberg, Curtis T Johns, Yazdan Qafouri and Sario Solomon, who won their roles in The Band through the BBC’s Let It Shine competition.
