Full Casting Announcement For The Return Season Of Jerusalem

Today, producer Sonia Friedman announced the cast of Jerusalem, the greatly anticipated show returning after more than ten years! Jez Butterworth’s award-winning play will return to the West End for a strictly limited 16 week season at the Apollo Theatre. The show premiered in 2009 to a record-breaking sold-out run at the Royal Court and Apollo Theatre, with a Broadway season at the Music Box Theater in 2011.

As previously announced, Mark Rylance and Mackenzie Crook will return to their celebrated roles as Johnny “Rooster” Byron and Ginger.

The remaining cast includes Kemi Awoderu (Pea), Alan David (The Professor), Shane David-Joseph (Mr Parsons), Gerard Horan (Wesley), Ed Kear (Davey), Charlotte O’Leary (Tanya), Indra Ové (Dawn), Jack Riddiford (Lee), Barry Sloane (Troy Whitworth), Niky Wardley (Linda Fawcett) and Eleanor Worthington-Cox (Phaedra). Kobe Champion-Norville, Jesse Manzi and Matteo Philbert will share the role of Marky and joining as understudies are Abigail Green, Amanda Gordon, Callum Sheridan-Lee, Greg Snowden and Anthony Taylor.

Ian Rickson returns to lead the original creative team, including designer ULTZ, lighting designer Mimi Jordan Sherin, composer Stephen Warbeck, sound designer Ian Dickinson for Autograph and casting director Amy Ball CDG.

Mark Rylance has won both Olivier and Tony Awards for his performance in Jerusalem. His other stage credits include Much Ado About Nothing, Boeing Boeing and La Bete. He was also the Artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe during its first ten years.

Mackenzie Crook is best known for his screen work, rising to fame a Gareth in The Office and securing his reputation with reoccurring performances in the Pirates Of The Caribbean films as well as The Dectectorists.
