Final casting has been confirmed for All About Eve, Ivo van Hove’s upcoming stage adaptation of the legendary film, led by Gillian Anderson and Lily James.
Jessie Mei Li will play the role of Claudia Casswell, joining the cast alongside new ensemble members Merric Boyd, Fejiro Emasiobi, Chanelle Modi, Stuart Nunn, Phillipa Peak and Michael Warburton, when the show begins previews at the Noël Coward Theatre.
All About Eve will star Emmy Award winner Anderson and James, along with BAFTA-winner Monica Dolan, Ian Drysdale, Tsion Habte, Julian Ovenden, Sheila Reid, Rhashan Stone, Stanley Townsend, Charles Hagerty, Grace Stone and Philip Voyzey.
The show, which sees a star of the stage meet her biggest fan – with chilling results – will also feature set and lighting design from Jan Versweyveld, costume design by An D’Huys and music from double Mercury Prize-winner PJ Harvey, alongside Tom Gibbons’ sound design.
All About Eve brings the unsettling exposé of obsession in show-business, brilliantly captured by the 1950 Twentieth Century Fox film, to the West End from 2 February.
