Hari Dhillon, Shaun Dooley, Sara Stewart and Finty Williams will star in Donald Margulies’ Dinner With Friends when it opens at the Park Theatre next month.
The quartet will be directed by Tom Attenborough in the tale of relationships and friendships that runs from 27 October.
Broadchurch star Dooley and West End regular Sara Stewart, who recent starred in Hay Fever, play married couple Gabe and Karen, who are committed to meeting every stumbling block, boulder and challenge head on to make their partnership work. But their friends Tom (Holby City’s Dhillon) and Beth (The Vote’s Finty Williams) are breaking up, which has life-questioning repurcussions for their long-time friends.
Speaking about the casting for his Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Margulies said: “I’m delighted that such a young, exciting assembly of theatre artists will be bringing Dinner With Friends to a new generation of London theatregoers.”
Dinner With Friends opens in the Park’s largest auditorium, the Park200, following the current run of Steve Thompson’s bond trading drama Roaring Trade, which stars Nick Moran and runs until 24 October. It will be followed by Christmas family show Rapunzel from 3 December.
