Celebrity ambassadors help the Donmar Warehouse celebrate the release of the first batch of YOUNG+FREE tickets, available to those aged 25 or under.
Ambassadors including Sadiq Khan, Meryl Streep and Ben Whishaw have given their support to the scheme, which makes 25% of tickets to the Donmar trilogy at King’s Cross free to those aged 25 or younger. To help celebrate the release of the first YOUNG+FREE tickets, the Donmar has also launched social media challenge #CHARADESPEARE, with Donmar Artistic Director Josie Rourke challenging Tom Hiddleston to share a short video acting out the title of a Shakespeare play. Speaking about the YOUNG+FREE ticket scheme, Meryl Streep said: “Who owns Shakespeare? We all do. I am thrilled to be supporting this extraordinary project from the Donmar”.
Sadiq Khan added: “All Londoners should benefit from the fantastic cultural riches our capital has to offer. I’m delighted that this scheme will bring young people and world-class theatre together in the heart of our great city.”

The Donmar’s all-female Shakespeare Trilogy will launch a new production of The Tempest on 23 September, at a new 420-seat in-the-round temporary theatre, built at the King’s Cross Theatre site.
