Rising stars Freddie Fox and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are to appear alongside Lindsay Duncan and Jeremy Northam in Howard Davies’s production of Hay Fever at the Noël Coward theatre from February.

Fox, who plays Simon Bliss in Noël Coward’s comedy about a house party at the home of eccentric aging actress Judith Bliss, has appeared in A Flea In Her Ear and Cause Célèbre at the Old Vic since graduating from drama school last year. His screen credits include Any Human Heart, The Shadow Line and the forthcoming The Mysteries Of Edwin Drood.

Waller-Bridge can currently be seen in Sky One sitcom The Café alongside Michelle Terry, with whom she starred in Tribes at the Royal Court. Waller-Bridge’s other stage work includes Sixty-Six Books at the Bush theatre and Rope at the Almeida theatre.

The pair joins a cast that already includes Duncan, Northam, Kevin McNally and Olivia Colman. Also now joining them are West End regular Jenny Galloway (Anna Christie, Les Misérables, Mamma Mia!), The Bill’s Sam Callis and Amy Morgan, who was recently seen in Inadmissible Evidence at the Donmar Warehouse.

Coward’s Hay Fever plays at the theatre that bears his name from 9 February to 2 June, following Million Dollar Quartet, which runs to 14 January.
