Re-imagining the funny and heart-warming story of the Tom Hanks classic film, this musical brings the charming characters to new life.
When 12 year-old Josh Baskin (Jay) wishes to be big at a mysterious Zoltar machine, he gets exactly that! Trapped inside an adult’s body and forced to work in a grown-up world, his childlike innocence may just change everyone else around him.

Big The Musical’s splash onto the stage at the Dominion Theatre is filled with names from the charts. Jay McGuiness – who you’ll recognise from band The Wanted – is returning to the West end with his acting debut as Josh Baskin, the little boy stuck in a grown up’s body.
More pop royalty, Kimberley Walsh, joins Jay to play love interest Susan Lawrence. Kimberly rose to fame as one fifth of girl band Girl’s Aloud, but has since starred in the West End as Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical, Jovie in Elf The Musical, and joined Denise Van Outen at Cadogan Hall in Sweet Charity.

Photo by Alastair MuirAlongside Jay and Kimberly, Big The Musical will also star Matthew Kelly, from Stars In Their Eyes fame, as owner of FAO Schwarz and Josh’s boss, Mr Macmillan. Josh’s mum, Mrs Baskin, will be played by Wendi Peters, who is best known as Cilla Battersby Brown from Coronation Street.
The musical has Tony-nominated music, lyrics and book by David Shire, Richard Maltby and John Weidman respectively. Morgan Young directs and choreographs this production.
