We’ve all imagined ourselves in a different time and place while standing with our faces in someone’s armpit on the tube. But now, it’s time to explore a whole new dimension thanks to a series of post-show Q&As at The Twilight Zone.
The stage adaptation of the TV series by Rod Serling will be answering all your burning questions immediately after the show on 17 May. This particular Q&A will explore the imagination and why we have it, the close links between science and science fiction, as well as why The Twilight Zone franchise continues to be such a major influence.
Introducing the event and leading the panel will be the show’s producer Ron Fogelman. He will be joined by members of the cast, plus Christopher Beaumont and Roger Luckhurst.
Christopher is from the Estate Of Charles Beaumont. Charles was one of the most important writers to contribute to the original series and whose classic story Perchance To Dream appears in the stage adaptation.
Roger is Professor Of Modern Literature at University Of London and has written two histories of science fiction, the most recent published by the British Library in 2017.
Further Q&As will be announced at a later date.
The Twilight Zone is a whirling paranormal kaleidoscope which leads you on a chilling journey into the unknown, through eight stories set where the extraordinary is ordinary, the impossible probable, and where you’re never entirely sure what’s real and what’s your imagination.
It’s been adapted by Anne Washburn and directed by the multi-award-winning director Richard Jones. It enjoyed a sell-out run at the Almeida Theatre before being transferred to the Ambassadors Theatre earlier this year. This current run will end on 1 June so you only have a few weeks to catch it before it disappears…
