An interactive theatrical dining experience opens this autumn in celebration of Roald Dahl 100.
A theatrical adaptation of one of Roald Dahl’s most famous novels offers guests the chance to eat at the world’s worst dinner party, courtesy of the revolting Twits. Dinner At The Twits is a collaboration between Les Enfants Terribles and ebp (the team behind the Olivier Award nominated show Alice’s Adventures Underground) and culinary geniuses Bompas And Parr. Participants are promised a stomach-churning meal, featuring a range of deliciously disgusting dishes and homemade cocktails, as well as entertainment by the horrible Mr and Mrs Twit.
A cross between immersive theatre and experimental dining, the production is the first adaptation of one of Roald Dahl’s stories exclusively for adults, in honour of the author’s centenary this September.
Oliver Lansley, of Les Enfants Terribles, said ‘Dinner At The Twits will give adults the opportunity to explore those boundaries between disgust and delight, to come up close and personal with the hideous hairy Twits and to be taken on a multisensory journey through Dahl’s beguilingly bizarre world.’
Dinner At The Twits runs at The Vaults, Waterloo from 4 September to 30 October. For more information and to book tickets, visit the official website.
