For families with older children looking for a show with a difference this summer, Exquisite Folly Theatre is presenting a unique new adaptation of Alice In Wonderland this month that requires audiences to get on their bikes.
Commissioned as one of a series of tours designed to raise the profile of cycling across London as part of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Bikeminded initiative, Alice In Wonderland uses puppetry and storytelling to create an unusual and interactive show which the audience must cycle to follow.
Running from 18 to 22 July, Lewis Carroll’s story is set in the twilight of a July evening, far from the Olympics, far from 2012. There a woman arrives in a place she has never been before and has an adventure she will never forget.
Audience members will have the opportunity to explore some of Kensington and Chelsea’s beautiful nooks and crannies in this newly adapted version of the classic story. Forget what you know about Alice, this is a Wonderland with a darker twist with Exquisite Folly Theatre advising audiences to come with their bikes, an appreciation of tea parties and a desire to get lost in the magic Wonderland.
Alice In Wonderland is suitable for adults and children aged 11 and older. For more information and to book visit www.bikemindedaliceinwonderland.eventbrite.com
