Multi award-winning drama The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time will resume its West End run from 24 June when it reopens at the Gielgud Theatre.
Tickets for the National Theatre’s hit production, which was awarded a record-breaking seven Olivier Awards at last year’s ceremony, will go on sale to the public on 17 January. Prior to this, any patrons who had booked tickets to see the show at the Apollo Theatre, where performances were suspended after part of the ceiling collapsed on 19 December, can take advantage of priority booking from 10 January.
In addition to the priority booking period, audience members who booked through the National Theatre box office will be contacted by the theatre. Audience members who booked through other ticket sellers are advised to contact their point of purchase.
Talking about the show’s move to its neighbouring Shaftesbury Avenue theatre, the National Theatre’s Executive Director Nick Starr said: “We are grateful to Delfont Mackintosh Theatres for providing us with another home on Shaftesbury Avenue for the show, which has played to full houses at the Apollo since it transferred there last March. It will be a real wrench to leave that beautiful theatre, but sadly the closure of the gallery to enable its restoration means that the show no longer works economically there. We look forward to renewing our relationship with Nimax Theatres on another show in the future.”

While the show takes a West End break, the National Theatre is offering schools and young people a unique opportunity to enjoy Simon Stephens’ critically acclaimed adaptation of Mark Haddon’s bestselling novel about a boy with an extraordinary mind who embarks on a life-changing journey. The cast will recreate the production in a minimal rehearsal-room format throughout February.
