Seven-time Olivier Award-winning play The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time will return to the West End this year.
The smash-hit National Theatre production, which also won five Tony Awards on Broadway, will make the Piccadilly Theatre its third London home from 29 November.
The show will play a limited run until 23 February 2019.
The announcement also completes a remarkable trifecta for director Marianne Elliott; this November, she will have three shows playing in London (with War Horse returning to the National Theatre, and Company playing at the Gielgud Theatre).
The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time has been seen by more than 3 million people worldwide, first playing at the National Theatre in September 2012. It subsequently transferred to the West End’s Apollo Theatre and then the Gielgud, where its latest London run concluded in June 2017.
Adapted by Simon Stephens from the novel by Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident… tells the story of 15 year-old Christopher John Francis Boone, who finds Mrs Shears’ dog speared with a garden fork at seven minutes past midnight. Christopher has a remarkable brain and capacity for maths, but is ill-equipped to interpret everyday life – and his detective work is set to take him on a frightening journey that turns his world upside down.
