Chickenshed will premiere a brand new version of Cinderella with a Bollywood twist this Christmas, while the venue’s popular Tales From The Shed gets a sprinkling of festive magic for a Yuletide run.

Suitable for children aged five and over, Cinderella takes all the familiar and traditional elements of the much-loved fairytale and serves them up with plenty of modern treats. Playing from 30 November to 14 January, the epic musical extravaganza will feature a cast of hundreds.

Follow a Cinderella with attitude on her perilous journey to becoming Queen. Watch her battle against her evil stepmother who has a cunning plan to bring down The Arches which is owned by the handsome prince.

As time begins to run out to save the Prince from having to marry one of her ugly step-sisters, Cinderella must win a reality TV show and win the Prince’s heart. And all by midnight!

As part of Chickenshed’s continued commitment to producing inclusive theatre, sign-language will be integrated into every performance of Cinderella.

Fans of the theatre’s long-running storytelling production Tales From The Shed will be excited to hear that all their favourite characters from the show will be appearing in Christmas Tales from 21 to 23 December.

Promising fun and high-jinxs, children aged 0-7 can join Can-Can, The Thing That Goes Blurgh and the Tales From The Shed team as they create Taslesomime, a special pantomime where make-believe rules and anything can happen.
