Park Theatre productions of Crossing Jerusalem and Lady Anna: All At Sea have announced a full complement of cast members.
Crossing Jerusalem, which runs in the Park 90 from 4 to 29 August, will star David Ricardo Pearce, Waleed Elgadi, Adi Lerer, Alistair Toovey, Andy Lucas, Chris Spyrides, Louisa Clein and Trudy Weiss.
The drama, written and directed by Julia Pascal, is set over 24 hours in Jerusalem in 2002. As a bomb explodes, Israeli Jews, Christian Arabs and Palestinians are thrown together, from a wife who wants to celebrate her birthday to a soldier who no longer wants to do his job and a husband who does not want to have a son.
Lady Anna: All At Sea, which plays in the larger Park200 space from 19 August to 19 September, will star Caroline Langrishe, Antonia Kinlay, Andy Rush, Adam Scott-Rowley, Julie Teal, Edward Halsted and Tim Frances.
The new play, written by Craig Baxter and commissioned by the Trollope Society, follows Victorian novelist Anthony Trollope as he journeys to Australia aboard the SS Great Britain and writes his latest tale, Lady Anna. But Trollope’s intrigue-filled tale divides his fellow passengers and it is not long before fact and fiction begin to overlap.
Crossing Jerusalem and Lady Anna: All At Sea play as part of a season that also includes the world premiere of The Gathered Leaves, black comedy Hatched ‘N’ Dispatched starring Wendi Peters and Diana Vickers, and a revival of Steve Thompson’s bond trader tale Roaring Trade.
