Philip Whitchurch, Paul Kemp and Gary Shelford are among the cast members preparing to propel audiences out of their seats at the Arts Theatre next month when Ghosts Stories returns to London.
Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman’s hit production, which plays from 13 February, is a terrifying theatrical experience suitable only for theatregoers aged 15 or older who are brave enough to take on the show’s ‘moments of severe shock and tension’.
Well known for his long-running role in BBC’s My Hero, Whitchurch has previously appeared on stage in productions including Billy Elliot The Musical and the RSC’s The Orphan Of Zhao. His co-star Kemp was last seen on the London stage in 2010’s The Crucible at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, while Shelford has appeared in productions including The Stock Da’Wa at the Hampstead Theatre and Angry Young Man at Trafalgar Studios.
Mark Starr, who has had previous experience of scaring audiences in West End long-runner The Woman In Black, Welsh actor Dino Fetscher and Chris Levens, who makes his West End debut in the production, complete the cast.
Ghost Stories will play the Arts Theatre following Only Our Own, the tale of one nation’s journey from a highly polarised society to a modern integrated one, which opens at the venue tomorrow.
