Are you a Heather? No? Well, we know three people that are because the actors joining Carrie Hope Fletcher have been announced.
Alongside the award-winning Carrie Hope (who will be playing Veronica Sawyer) and the band, are the most popular girls in school: Jodie Steele (Myth at The Other Palace, Wicked in the UK and International Tour) will play Heather Chandler, Sophie Isaacs (Kinky Boots at Adelphi Theatre, Made In Dagenham at Adelphi Theatre) will play Heather McNamara, and T’Shan Williams (Caroline or Change at Hampstead Theatre, The Color Purple: In Concert at Cadogan Hall) will play Heather Duke. Plus, Jamie Muscato (Big Fish at The Other Palace, Lazarus at King’s Cross Theatre) will be joining the cast as the mysterious teen rebel Jason Dean (JD).
They will star alongside Chris Chung (Kurt Kelly), Dominic Anderson (Ram Sweeney), Jenny O’Leary (Martha Dunnstock), and Rebecca Lock (Mrs Flemming).
There are still a few cast members to be announced so don’t get your petitions out yet – you don’t want to miss any names off the list now, do you?
Based on one of the greatest teen films of all time, the 1988 classic starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. The award-winning writing team, Laurence O’Keefe (Legally Blonde, Bat Boy) and Kevin Murphy’s (Reefer Madness, Desperate Housewives), hit musical adaptation has enjoyed successful runs in Los Angeles and New York and finally arrives in the UK for its European Premiere.
Produced by Bill Kenwright and Paul Taylor Mills, who produced the award-winning Carrie together in 2015, the musical premieres at The Other Palace from 9 June, and runs for a limited 8 week season.
To celebrate the new classmates, an additional 250 tickets have been released with new seats available at all price bands.
Tickets are available through The Other Palace website.
