The bat might not be keen on hell, but it seems to be pretty fond of London because it’s sticking around in the West End for a little longer. Jim Steinman’s Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical wowed audiences and critics last year during its run at the London Coliseum. And it seems theatregoers will do anything for tickets as the Dominion Theatre run has been extended to 27 October 2018 due to popular demand.
Bat Out Of Hell takes place in Obsidian – a post-apocalyptic world ruled by Falco. Falco’s daughter, Raven, meets rebel Strat which leads to a full-throttled love affair all set to a familiar rock ‘n’ roll score that’ll get your adrenaline pumping.
The rock musical is based on the legendary and award-winning albums Bat Out Of Hell and Bat Out Of Hell II – made famous by Meat Loaf. The show includes songs like You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth, Bat Out Of Hell, I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That) and Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad, as well as two previously unreleased songs, What Part of My Body Hurts the Most and Not Allowed to Love.
The cast of Bat Out Of Hell is led by Andrew Polec as Strat and Christina Bennington as Raven, with Rob Fowler as Falco and Sharon Sexton as Sloane. Also starring are Alex Thomas-Smith as Tink, Danielle Steers as Zahara, Wayne Robinson as Jagwire, Giovanni Spanó as Ledoux and Patrick Sullivan as Blake. For certain performances, the role of Strat will be played by Simon Gordon or Jordan Luke Gage.
The new booking period was announced just days after previews began on Monday 2 April, and you’ll be able to buy tickets for the extended period from Thursday 19 April 2018.
So rev those engines and get ready to go on the adventure of a life time – they may be gone by the time the 19 April morning comes…
