The Barbican is hosting a special family concert on 24 April inspired by outer space.
Serenade For A Satellite, created by Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and theatremaker Graeme Miller, takes the audience on an intergalactic journey as it explores the magical sound worlds of some of today’s most exciting composers, including Luciano Berio, Bruno Maderna and Charlotte Bray.
The concert features space-inspired visuals to illustrate the music, as well as interactive games and activities for all the family.
Prior to each of the two performances – held at 13:00 and 15:30 – children and their families can take part in activities in the foyers, including the chance to create space-inspired melodies and satellite signals.
Serenade For A Satellite is ideal for theatregoers aged seven and older, though all the family are welcome.
